The United States has concluded its latest wave of attacks on Iran, targeting bridges, power plants, and islands off the country’s southern coast, according to US Central Command.
President Donald Trump confirmed on Tuesday that US military strikes on Iran will continue until he personally orders them to halt.
Iranian media reported explosions across multiple southern cities and on islands off the coast, as clashes between US and Iranian forces erupted in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. The escalation marks a significant intensification of the ongoing conflict between the two nations.

What the strikes targeted
US Central Command stated the latest wave of attacks had concluded, though did not provide specifics on the number of targets hit or the extent of damage. Trump indicated that Iran’s bridges and power plants were among the potential targets for the ongoing campaign.
“We will continue strikes on Iran until I say stop,” Trump declared, signalling no immediate end to the military operations. The president’s comments suggest a sustained campaign rather than a limited operation.
The Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical shipping lanes for oil transport, has become an active conflict zone. Iranian media reported ongoing clashes between US and Iranian forces in the waterway, raising concerns about potential disruption to global energy supplies.
