Edenvale – A tiger was spotted roaming around Eastleigh Ridge, Edenvale, early on Monday morning. This prompted Edenvale CPF to issue an alert to all residents to be alert and keep their children and animals inside.
A video off the animal has since surfaced on social media. It shows the young animal roaming around a yard at around 5:20am. SAPS along with SPCA and Blue Hawk Tactical are currently searching for the wild animal. Blue Hawk Tactical was not forthcoming with any more information. The tigers owners are currently unknown.

Earlier this month eight-year-old tigress Sheba was euthanised after she escaped from her holding area at Walkers Fruit Farm, south of Johannesburg.
Gary Wilson from Swat SOS 24/7 confirmed the animal had been darted and captured safely. It will now be taken to a sanctuary for its safe keeping. Wilson refrained from commenting further on the animal or who it may belong to.
However, Edenvale SPCA has yet to confirm it. The organisation released a statement saying,
“We cannot confirm any reports as we have not seen the Tiger nor heard from authorities as to whether she is safe and where she has been moved to. More information will be given when we have it but no confirmation can be given on any reports of her being safely captured.”
