The depravity of Israeli terrorists knows no bounds. As if the massacre of nearly 18 000 civilians was not enough, their icons have now mocked the besieged inhabitants of Palestine’s Gaza Strip by signing bombs destined to wipe out the enclave.

In a video released by apartheid Israel’s Kan News on Sunday, presenter Rotem Achihun was seen singing with and cheering on members of the occupying Israeli Defence Force (IDF). “Where are the tank shells that I will be blessed with?” she asks.

“We bomb them now,” she declared, after inscribing a message that read, “To Gaza, with love … Some of the bravest men in the world, the men of Israel”.

Outrage over comments by Achihun

The footage sparked immediate backlash on social media. Many were angered by Achihun’s insensitivity towards the plight of civilians under constant bombardment, people whose only crime was to resist occupation.

Apart from the “pure evil” and “lost soul” comments, describing her actions, a number of users on X questioned how it was possible to remain silent while the occupiers stooped so low.

“But all Muslims countries are just watching the massacre, and Turkey also not helping our brothers and sisters’ innocent children’s in Palestinian (sic), wrote @AbdulGofoor.

Another, going by @salma_mama92469, wrote: “You can make your choice, to either stand with humanity, or with Savage Kingdoms. I stand with humanity, stand with Palestine. Free Palestinians now, and stop the genocide”.

The terrorist regime in Tel Aviv has massacred no fewer than 17 997 Palestinians in Gaza since it declared war on Gaza on 7 October. During this period, it spared no target – including healthcare facilities, schools, homes and other civilian infrastructure.

Achihun had not officially responded to the backlash by the time of publication.
