South Africa – An exciting networking event organised by the founder of U&LU Graphic Design is set to take place on October 19 at Origami in Lakefield Benoni. This gathering aims to create a welcoming space for female entrepreneurs, especially women of colour and those in hijab, to connect, learn, and grow in their business journeys.

According to the Founder and Principal of Darul Inayah Islamic Institute, Mualimah Athiya Sayed, what makes this occasion special is its focus on helping women navigate the business world, which men often dominate.

“They’re hosting this in hopes of creating networking spaces and something where women can feel free to ask the questions that need to be asked, to be in a space where they can help each other and empower each other.”

Sayed emphasised that the heart of the function is about empowering women to support each other. It’s a platform designed to encourage female entrepreneurs to ask questions, share experiences, and build relationships that can help them succeed.

This event is also offering a unique opportunity for young women, particularly those looking to start businesses in a challenging job market. It’s a chance to explore new possibilities and gain inspiration from successful entrepreneurs.

With panel discussions, networking opportunities, and a friendly, open atmosphere, attendees can engage with speakers and connect with other businesswomen from various fields.

Described as ’empowering,’ this initiative is about promoting a supportive and collaborative community for women to take charge of their futures. It’s an opportunity to be part of a community that values shared success and where everyone’s contribution is appreciated.

“I think exposure in a business space is good. Any exposure in a business space, especially for young people, makes a huge difference to their business because you never know where you might get your bread buttered, which can happen in multiple spaces. The youth need to take inspiration from those who have already set a tone for themselves within the business community.”
