“I believe presentation is an extension of yourself. We wanted every one of our traders to have that beautiful, amazing experience – just like they do when they come to Eid Fest. We wanted to create that ambience and that look and feel … There’s everything and anything,” said event manager Nisha Steenkamp.
Fatima-Zahra Ghood, granddaughter to organiser Tasneem Ghood, said the event bore testimony to her grandmother’s hard work.
“This woman has sacrificed her entire life. She motivates me every single day. Whenever I go to the office, this lady is working. She works the hardest; she’s a workaholic,” she said.
The Haloodie Market is taking place at Lakewood Conference Centre, Johannesburg and is open to shoppers from 10:00 AM Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are available at the door.
