Zionists stooping lower than Nazis – activist

by Zahid Jadwat

The horrors of the Second World War left a lasting impression on the psyche of the western world. At the same time, the Holocaust killed north of six million Jews. It was a bloody affair, and history is repeating itself. This time, the concentration camps are in Gaza, not Auschwitz.

This is the sentiment of a growing number of pro-Palestine supporters who believe the terrorist regime in Apartheid Israel has got to cease its atrocities in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Since 7 October, at least 19 667 Palestinians were killed while Benjamin Netanyahu’s war cabinet carpet bombed the besieged enclave.

Shakir Bakari Williams, an American author, suggested Zionists were racists who saw themselves as being superior to the Palestinians. He was speaking in an interview on Salaamedia.

“We understand Zionism as the racist, settler-colonialist ideology that it is. Under this ideology, the Palestinians can never be human – in the same way that the indigenous Americans were never considered humans by the racist settler-colonialists from England,” he said.

Zionism worse than Nazism

Adolf Hitler was determined to wipe out the Jewish population, among other minority groups. Today, Benjamin Netanyahu appears eager to flatten Gaza and bury civilians under the rubble.

“When I look at these atrocities, these blatant violations of humanitarian law, which, to my readings and understanding of World War II,” said Williams, “I don’t even think the Nazis deliberately bombed hospitals. I can’t recall the Nazis deliberately targeting hospitals.”

On Tuesday, the Palestinian health ministry said Israeli attacks in the enclave killed “around 100” Palestinians in just one day. Many others were wounded as the atrocities continued.

Meanwhile, as the humanitarian crisis deepens, a vote on a potential humanitarian resolution by the United Nations Security Council was on Tuesday postponed. Qatari news outlet Al Jazeera reported the US held the vote back over issues with the wording of the text.
